Men want to help but, they don't want to "be helped".
That creates an issue. We have a bunch of guys who are ready and willing to support and there is no one there. Why? Because it's the most vulnerable thing a Man can do... Many Men would rather take their struggles to their grave than to admit they don't have the answer. It's supposed to be honorable or some shit like that. However, no one's going to give you a medal for bottling up all your feelings. In fact, it may be just the opposite because you will probably turn into a emotionally repressed A hole. I've seen it a million times and I've been there. So, even though "I'm here for you" or "call me if you need" is quite generous. The BIG BRAVE MOVE is "Hey, I need some help. I admit that I don't know how to make this better and I feel scared/ashamed/embarrassed about it." Vulnerability creates deeper connection. Lead by example. Comments are closed.
