What is the Men's Group Experience?
Men's Group is a container in which guys gather to share their wisdom, their ideas, and their struggles in a supportive environment. Most Men have never had this type of consistent support from trusted friends. Moreover, many of us were never taught how interact on a deeper level so we may find ourselves feeling anxious, depressed, numb, or disconnected. Even if we think we are somewhat happy with our lives, it's common that our partners start to feel dissatisfied with the relationship and begin to ask for more intimacy and connection. I find that many Men come searching for a Men's group when they are having difficulties with intimate relationships. This is a place where we can come together to talk about what's going on underneath the surface, learn new tools, and practice skills to show up as a better Man. The most common topics in group are relationships, money, and health. Twice per year, there is an outdoor retreat in which every member of every group is invited to come out and show up, in-person. We adventure, circle up around the fire, eat good food, connect with nature, and have fun. It's a time to unwind, relax, and connect more deeply with our purpose in Life.
What makes this Men's Group different?
It's rare to find a small independent group that isn't attached to a larger organization, system, or ideology. This group is simple. Join, connect, grow, support, repeat. Also, unlike some other groups, there is no initiation ritual, no high-pressure sales tactic, and no big investment in a program. You can join from the comfort of your own home and you don't have to have any previous experience with men's work. Second, I personally interview all the members joining the group to make sure that they are not dealing with serious mental or emotional issues that would effect the overall safety of the group. Third, I offer optional in-person events in some of the most beautiful places in the world. They include rappelling into red rock canyons, hiking through alpine mountains, and sitting around the campfire in pristine wilderness settings. Last but not least, I am on ALL the group calls and I am constantly working on myself through individual coaching/therapy, couples therapy with my wife, personal men's group work, and continued coach training. I also participate in the group and share what's happening in my life. I'm not some guru who appears to have my shit together at all times.
How does it work?
- Weekly 90-Minute Group Calls via Zoom
- Private Communication Channel
- During Group - Guided Meditation, Authentic Relating Practices, Group Discussion, Individual Coaching, Relationship Education, Challenge/ Support around Goals
- Two Optional Men's Retreats per year (Spring and Fall)
Who's it for?
You may have kids, a mortgage, a career, and/ or a marriage that requires tending to on a regular basis. You've been around the block and you've learned a few things along the way. In the process of moving into mature adulthood, you may have lost touch with some of your old buddies. Life looks a little bit different now and you start to think more coherently about your own mortality, your legacy, or the future of your relationships. At this stage in Life, there aren't a ton of resources for Men and many Men fall into patterns of Work, Eat, Hobby, Repeat. You've got yourself together "enough". It's possible that what some guys are missing at this point in their life is authentic connection. You need someone to talk to, a place to get real, and a community that gets what you're going through. What would it be like if you had a consistent group of Men that you could support and that could support you?

The Facilitator

Bryce Bauer grew up as a traditional Midwestern boy, wrestling, playing football, chasing girls, fighting, and getting into trouble. His process of Waking Up occurred after dropping out of college and completing a 60-Day in-patient drug rehabilitation program. In the last 15 years, he’s led Wilderness Quests in the backcountry of southern Utah, traveled the world, completed several year coaching programs, married his sweetheart, grown a successful business, fought in the cage, and led over 1000 Men’s Groups.
He knows how to create a powerful space for Men to open up, connect, and work through their difficulties.
“I know what it’s like to feel suicidal, depressed, angry, hopeless and confused. I also know what it’s like to be extremely vulnerable in front of a group of people, speak up for myself responsibly, confront my dark side, and get in touch with my tender side. I understand what it takes for Men to make that transition.” - Bryce

Why do men choose to join this men's Group?
The most common reason guys join this Men's Group is that they don't have a consistent and intentional space to share and get support from other Men. The group is something they can count on, week after week. One of the most common pain points is feeling disconnected with their partner.
what do you talk about?
I have a general format for the group but, the group is also self-directed. We share big Wins, struggles, and ongoing challenges. You may choose to ask for feedback, accountability, or validation. We don't believe in "fixing" people. We help you find your own answers.
what issues has the group helped with?
Navigating divorce, deaths in the family, changing careers, becoming more emotionally available with their partner, getting their health back on track, repairing relationships with parents, and everything in between. We have seen it all.
