23,500,000 people, over the age of 12, in the United States struggle with some form alcohol or drug addiction according to a recent Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) survey. That’s roughly 1 in 10 adults!
When you start to suspect that your family member is having serious trouble with substances, most people have no idea what to do. They begin feeling extremely anxious, hurt, sad, angry, and depressed as they try to fix this situation through offering suggestions, enabling, or arguing with their loved one. People often don’t know where to start because they have never been in this situation before or they’ve never experienced anything that worked.
This is where I can help. I’ve worked for treatment centers in Hawaii, New Mexico, and Utah, and I’m connected with treatment professionals all over the country. I know which programs see the best results, I know which program will suite your loved one, and I can walk you through the entire process.

The first year of sobriety is the most dangerous time for people that are leaving drug treatment. While some clients agree to attend structured sober livings that have accountability measures built in, most people either end up at sober living facilities that don’t offer serious accountability or they end up going back home.
Many former clients are so excited to be “free” from their in-patient treatment situation that they resist all forms of accountability and help as they move back out into the world. The reality is that most people that don’t get added support, after the leave treatment, end up relapsing. The consequences of this can be anywhere from major setbacks to life devastation. Some families continue to play out this pattern for years.
This is where I can help. With my years of personal and professional experience, I’ve designed a coaching and accountability system that allows families to relax and clients to succeed.
Of course, this doesn’t work without some serious buy-in. I only work with people who are willing to stick to sobriety for their entire first year. I only work with people who agree to robust accountability measures, goal tracking, and consistent emotional work.
